In partnership with the University of Leicester, Chester House is hosting their second Roman Festival.
Admission for adults and children is FREE but tickets must be pre-booked.
Chester House is situated just off the eastbound A45 between Wellingborough and Rushden.
Activities include:
Roman re-enacting group, the Ermine Street Guard
Roman pottery and craft demonstrations
Tours of the excavations – speak to archaeologists and get a chance to handle real finds
Short talks from archaeologists and curators throughout the day on Roman life
Northamptonshire Archaeological Resource Centre visits to see amazing Roman objects
Wash finds from the Chester House excavation
Stalls with fun Roman themed activities for all ages
FRAG will be running a stall at the festival
