It was cold but very sunny as we received our initial metal detector training session from Steve Critchley this morning.
We then had a really enjoyable time searching a section of Sue’s paddock. We had several enthusiastic new members join this event.
Finds included plenty of rusty nails, buttons and a couple of horse shoes. But more interesting items were GPS located and will be reported to the local finds liaison officer. These included loom weights, a spindle whorl and a livery button.
