POST EXCAVATION FINDS PROCESSING
Venue: Old School Hall, Green End Road, Sawtry.
Aims and Strategy: SHS have accumulated numerous finds assemblages from its excavations over the years. The archaeological value of these assemblages is derived from their analysis, the first stage of which is for finds to be cleaned and then recorded.
Opportunities. This event will give volunteers with post excavation finds processing experience the opportunity to develop their processing and analysis skills and techniques. This event will give volunteers with no post excavation finds processing experience the opportunity to learn the principles of basic archaeological post excavation finds processing and analysis skills and techniques.
