Come to the Feast: Communal Agriculture in an Iron Age Landscape at Willow Hall Farm, Thorney
Albion Archaeology’s 8 years of excavations at this quarry have revealed an extensive Iron Age agricultural landscape. While the later Iron Age remains represent a fairly standard set of enclosures, the site functioned as a communal grain store in the early Iron Age, complete with evidence for ritual feasting activity.
