THE ROMANS IN RUTLAND

Archaeologist Peter Liddle will outline what is known about the Roman impact on Rutland. A Roman fort, two towns, villas (some with fabulous mosaics), temples, iron working, pottery kilns and farms are all part of the story of the Romans in Rutland.
